A-Z of Travel (updated)

Hi, it's been a while!

I still have a lot of posts pending on my plate right now, like my recent trips to Banaue (Ifugao), Sagada (Mountain Province), Baguio(Benguet), Pinto Art Museum, Pagudpud and Paoay (Ilocos Norte). I hope to gather energy and find time to write about all of them.

Meanwhile, I am excited to plan for our trips to Bolinao, Pangasinan, Hong Kong and El Nido, Palawan this year. I have been busy on the lookout for cheap airfare tickets and hotel accommodations.  And I am more than excited to share the experience.

Anyhoo, posting my updated A-Z of travel to keep me motivated to finish my next posts. Enjoy!

A: Age you made your first international trip. 25. Yes I know I’m a late bloomer. Eeep.

B: Best (foreign) beer you’ve had and where Nah. Not an alcohol drinker.

C: Cuisine (Favourite) Filipino, Italian, Thai and Chinese. 

D: Destinations. Favourite. Least Favourite. Why. Every country has its own allure. China and Thailand are really charming. Good food combined with rich culture. The temples in Cambodia are something else. Hong Kong is easy one me considering the weather and its proximity to Manila, China and Macau. 

E: Event you experienced that made you say ‘Wow’ Backpacking in Anawangin. Mountain climbing in Porac. 

F: Favourite mode of transportation Planes and trains. 

G: Greatest feeling while travelling That euphoric feeling riding a plane and flying amidst the ocean of clouds and landing in a foreign land. Exploring the unknown and experiencing food and culture different from yours. 

H: Hottest place I’ve travelled to Thailand. 38 degrees in the month of October which is supposed to be a cold month. 

I: Incredible service you’ve experienced and where Onboard Thai Airways where you fly smooth as silk. Teehee! And the service at Gems Gallery Bangkok is exceptional. 

J: Journey that took you the longest Three LOOONG hours of mountain trekking in Porac amidst the sun and rain. 

K: Keepsake from your travels Fashion accessories. Shirts. Fridge magnets! 

L: Let down sight. Why and where? Filthy toilets! 

M: Moment where you fell in love with travel The first time I set foot in Hong Kong-land. ;) I instantly fell in love with the place. I made a promise to go out of the country every chance I get ever since. 

N: Nicest hotel you’ve stayed in A hotel in Zhuhai, China and Mike Garden Resort Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand. 

O: Obsession. What are you obsessed with taking pictures of while traveling? Way of life. Markets. Religious statues. Relics. Food. 

P: Passport stamps. How many and from where? Total of 5. Hong Kong, China, Macau, Thailand, and Cambodia. 

Q: Quirkiest attraction you’ve visited and where. Floating markets! 

R: Recommended sight, event, or experience. Parasailing! The husband did it, but I didn’t. Hah. 

S: Splurge. Something you have no problem forking over for while travelling. Decent TOILET, particularly! Street food. Pasalubongs. 

T: Touristy thing you’ve done. Having photographed in a touristy spot. 

U: Unforgettable travel memory The first sight of Hong Kong’s skyscrapers. 58F of Macau Tower. Shopping in Zhuhai night market. Traffic jam in Bangkok (worse than Manila!) 

V: Visas. How many of them and for where. China (7 days) 

W: Wine, best glass while traveling and where. Again, not an alcohol drinker. 

X: eXcellent view and from where Hong Kong skyscrapers and Overlooking Hong Kong, Macau, China from the 58th floor of Macau Tower. 

Y: Years spent travelling Six years outside the country.

Z: Zealous sports fans and where! Swimming. Diving. Table tennis.
